I often see this feature, but always forget to ask here about it...
Let's call the quick-search dialog and look on its name (the word Search). It looks different from other dialog windows' text. It seems that font used there is incorrect. I've made several experiments and put the screenshots here (picture 400x490 px, 12 Kbytes).
(I've just written in LNG 5822="Search" to compare the same interface string in different places.)
You can see there screenshots of two dialogs (Quick-Search, further - QS, and Set Volume Label, further - SVL) in 3 different font sizes selected: Microsoft Sans Serif, Regular, sizes 8, 10 and 12. As you can see, in QS the font looks absolutely the same in sizes 8 and 10, but it changes in size 12. In SVL font is different in all three sizes.
Of course, this is quite a small bug, but it gives me some feel of inconvenience every time I see it...
Is there some solution? (I tried to search on this forum, found nothing, but I could miss something...) Of course, it is possible to set font size to 10 - then QS looks like other dialogs, but I don't want to use so large font.
PS: Oh, one more detail: I use TC 6.03a.
Font for "Search" word in Quick-search dialog.

Confirmed.
It seems that the dialog in Quick Search doesn't like the Fontsize 8 - or rather refuses to use this size. you could use size 7 or 6 but size 8 would not be displayed in Quicksearch. I tried several fonts too, also true type fonts.
Strange.
