[11.00b x64] Ctrl+C in List of open tabs calls quick search

Post by *Flint »

1. Open the list of open tabs in TC 64-bit.
2. Hover the mouse over any item and press Ctrl+C.
3. Instead of copying the path, a Quick Search dialog appears and has a square symbol typed in (which is actually the ^C symbol, the one with the hex code 0x03).

If you close the search, and then try to use Quick Search again (without closing the list of the tabs itself), the dialog is opened completely broken: it's very narrow and has the filter button and the "Search" label overlapped, with no editbox.

This does not happen in 32-bit TC, Ctrl+C works correctly there.

Hmm, In my case - this field of quick search / filter for this list will be drawn excessively bloated.
Even in the neighboring list of last visited directory / freq.used dirs history- it will be shown as it should be.

bloated
https://ibb.co/qjQB7g1
as it should be.
Let me be clear - it was filmed at the same time!
I.e. First I open this list of all tabs, call the field - screenshot it, then I open another list, call the field there and screenshot it.

2. Hover the mouse over any item and press Ctrl+C.
3. Instead of copying the path, a Quick Search dialog appears and has a square symbol typed in (which is actually the ^C symbol, the one with the hex code 0x03).
Here in 64bit TC it is only if there is a an item in the list that start with a C, that the Search dialog opens, otherwise nothing visible happens, and afterwards it is not possible to open the Folder Tabs list Search dialog.

After this, when trying to open any dialog in TC (F7, Alt+F7, F5, Alt+F5 etc), it only opens up a dialog that is a few pixels wide and high. https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/deminischeddialog.png

In 32bit TC if TC is opened in my secondary (right side) monitor, opening the Search dialog for Both the Folder Tabs list or for the Directory History list opens it up on the other (main) monitor completely outside the area that TC covers. https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/searchdialogdualscreenx86.png - the vertical position or the Search dialog seems to be correct.

The above is for Windows 7.

In Windows 10 it is like described by Flint - only I don't have to press Ctrl+C first, I just type a letter to open the search dialog, press Escape to close the dialog, and open the Search dialog again by typing a letter - and it is only the filter icon that is shown https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/searchdialog1.png

I don't see the totally diminished other dialogs in Windows 10. I cannot test dual screen in Windows 10.

But the path is copied into Clipboard.
In fact is not "instead" but "also" Quick Search dialog is open.

Both confirmed fixed in TC 11.00b8 :-)
