[TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
In the copy Dialog I can pin the state of the "Overwrite options" with the pin button.
If I change the options to anything but the first option and save the selected option as default (with the floppy disk button), then the pinned state is preserved - but if I change (back) to the option "1. Ask user" then the pinned state is unexpectedly disabled.

Re: [TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
This is intentional! Why?
The default option will only be applied when the confirmation dialog is expanded. The idea is that you can set a certain option as the default, and then either use that every time you copy with F5 (lower dialog is pinned open), or on demand when you click "options". Since most users would probably prefer the first, the dialog gets pinned open - except for option 1, because that's the default even when it's not pinned open.

Re: [TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
The downside of this decision is that the 3 other options:This is intentional!
is then hidden, so if I change to "Ask user" I have to unfold the Overwrite options and pin it again to have these 3 options ready for use."Skip all which cannot be opened for reading"
"Overwrite/Delete read only/hidden/system"
"Copy to all selected folders/links in the target panel"

You can still pin it manually when you don't agree with the preset. It doesn't prevent you from doing that.

I know, and I do, but it is some extra steps when I go back to using "Ask user" after occasionally having used one of the other options for a while. You can still pin it manually

Re: [TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
The alternative is not to pin it automatically when the user chooses one of the options, but then they will complain why the options don't take any effect...

Why can't the pinning just be independent of the choice?

Re: [TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
It is independent, it just pre-selects an option for the user.

Re: [TC 11.00b8] Resetting Overwrite options to "Ask user" also resets the pinned state of the Overwrite options
IMHO it is the other way around, the choice (in the drop-down menu) preselects the state of the pinning - when that choice is saved as default. For choice 2-9, pinning is enabledm but for choice 1, pinning is deselected. But no big deal, I can always manually enable the pinning, when it has been automatically de-enabled.
