not changed [TC 11.00b8] Extra space in Main menu, Windows XP

Under WIndows XP there is a fair amount of extra space in the right side of the Main menu between any right aligned shortcut key and the sub-menu arrow area. see: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/extramenuspacewinXP.png

I see it only in Windows XP with both Classic theme and XP-theme but only in Normal mode, not in Dark mode.

Unfortunately you will have to live with that, sorry. I'm actually returning a larger width in dark mode than in normal mode in reply to the message WM_MEASUREITEM, but Windows seems to ignore that somehow.

I understood that - still I'm returning a larger value in dark mode than in normal mode, but Windows still made the menu larger in normal mode. I checked this in the debugger on Windows XP. Sorry, I don't know what is causing this.

I can see that it is actually an old problem that started somewhere between TC 6.57 and TC 7.00

Yes, probably when I added icons to the menus, which made them owner drawn.
