Integration of copy and "F2 copy in background" in

Post by *LasseFJ »

Is there an integration of copy functions and "F2 copy in background" that can be enabled or a plugin? Copy in background is great for huge file operations to run automatic.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean - F5 then F2 is already integrated into the program.

I guess what LasseFJ means: to assign only one single shortcut key to the action made by the combination of F5 and F2. In fact, I think Mr. Ghisler must allow, for future versions, to define group of actions and do them through a shortcut key.

In that case we can add, let's say F12, and configure its behavior by adding two actions: copy the selected files and/or folders and then copy those files in background. This will be a nice addition to TC. I think Mr. Ghisler can think about it.

I think all this can be achieved by using TC Script Editor, but Ghisler must add it sometime to TC.

That is what I think LasseFJ tried to say and I agree with him. At least, we can expect Mr. Ghisler can give, for next version, the chance of assigning a shortcut key to the combination of copy/copy in background as a standard command, can't we?

For that purpose you can use TC Script editor of Aezay.

Although it were cool to be able to do so from within TC.

In fact, an *new* option for defining the mode of operation when copying/moving would be nice:

Default = Copy/move in a modal window (no background working in TC until the job is done)

Background = Copy/move in background (each copy/move operation in a separate thread)

Enqueue = The same as pressing F2, but the default when pressing Enter in the Copy/Move dialog.
