No, "d" is the download version, and not the restricted Play Store version. I will update the forum post.

A quick note for anyone who wants to download the f-droid (unrestricted "d") build of Total Commander without using an f-droid client..
This page:
https://www.ghisler.com/fdroid.htm
gives the address for the f-droid repo,
which is hosted in a Github repo using Github Pages..
so the files can be directly browsed and downloaded:
https://github.com/chrisgch/tca/tree/master/fdroid/repo
For example, the current release (3.50) is:
https://github.com/chrisgch/tca/raw/master/fdroid/repo/tcandroid-down350d-universal.apk
