Move Folder slow 10:52

I want to move a huge folder with Java Libs from e:\ to e:\Developent by using F6:
e:\repository -> e:\Development\repositoy

Since Version 10:52 the number of files and the size below e:\repository is scanned. This takes a very long time: > 10minutes

The real movement of the folder is done in seconds.

Is there a way to stop the file scanning of the source directory?

In wincmd.ini [Configuration] section use:

CountMarkedInDialog=0
CountMarked=0
CountMarkedBackground=0

CountMarkedInDialog was introducd in TC 10.50

If it is in the progress dialog Iopened after pressing OK in the Move dialog), then pressing Escape should stop the counting (when CountMarked=1 is used)

This should be fixed in TC 11 beta even with CountMarkedBackground=1, please test it.

I'm still no able move big folders fast by skip checking/counting every file as was possible before or I don't know how to do. Use 11.00RC1 version.

Since version Tc11b1 it works like before for me. (Yes, it was annoying in Tc10 or was it really only from Tc10.50!)

And this is by far the best improvement in Tc11 compared to the previous version!

And I didn't enter anything in wincmd.ini, other than what petermad describes.

It will start to add up, but if you press F6 counting will be canceled and folder moved immediately (assuming the same drive)

Best comeback of an important feature (from before 10.00) in Tc11 (now works together with improvements from 10.00 and 10.52)!
