Colorise info when overwriting

Post by *krojc »

OK my eyes hurt :)

For two days now I need to sort many files from different backups, or better overwrite those that I do not need. The case is that there is no special sorting order that I could apply. It is basically looking at overwrite message and checking name, date and time , size or path and keeping in mind what I want.
I also have [ctrl+B] since files are really numerous.

Would it be really a lot of hassle if one of this info would be colored when the data is not same?

Here's example:

Overwrite c:\usefull\list.cdr
25.987 Byte 12.11.04 14:05:30

With file c:\backup 00\list.cdr
55.987 Byte 12.11.04 14:55:30

Or to complicate: higher value is green, lower red :)

Overwrite c:\usefull\list.cdr
25.987 Byte 12.11.04 14:05:30

With file c:\backup 00\list.cdr
55.987 Byte 25.05.03 14:05:30

I support the idea! I'm also not a visual type, I even have different colors for files over 1M and over 1G in TC. This would be a great help really, good idea!
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

The same can be applied on sinchronise dirs window...

Just today - after trying to make my life easier - I found that synchronize dirs can not accept [ctrl+B] feeds. Not to expect it. :) It sure is not ment to do it, but can this be accomplished?

On one side [ctrl+B] could have many different subdirs with the same contents, while on the other destination folder is the one that accepts the selected. I could select those I need and update.

This is many -> one and one -> many.
