Re: TC11RC1 installer doesn't work in Crossover Mac
I just did a fresh install of Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-38-1.6.iso into a new VM, but I'm getting the same error when trying to run the 32-bit installer. Here is what I did:
1. Booted live system and chose install
2. Rebooted without CD and logged in
3. Ran command
sudo dnf install wingw32-wine*
4. Ran command
sudo dnf update
5. Rebooted
6. Downloaded tc1100x32_64_rc2.exe
7. Ran wine tc1100x32_64_rc2.exe
8. It complained about missing "mono", confirmed to install it
The errors are the same as after updating from Fedora 37 to 38:
0170:err:module:load_wow64_ntdll failed to load L"\\??\\C:\\windows\\syswow64\\ntdll.dll" error c0000135
0170:err:virtual:virtual_setup_exception stack overflow 1104 bytes addr 0x12ffe8 stack 0x7ffffe100bb0 (0x7ffffe100000-0x7ffffe101000-0x7ffffe1ffd20)
Anyway, this bug report was about Crossover Mac, so my original question still stands:
To the thread starter: Did you try to install the 64-bit version, or one of the other two?

No, no, not: sudo dnf install wingw32-wine*
But: sudo dnf install wine
Do you use VirtualBox or VMware Workstation (Player) 17? If have tested it with both.
Maybe you have to enable Hyper-V in the Bios for that? I do not know. Here it is enabled.

Re: TC11RC1 installer doesn't work in Crossover Mac
Wow, that installed 233 additional packets!sudo dnf install wine
After deleting the .wine subfolder in my profile it now works. I'm using VirtualBox 7.0 without the paid extensions.

Works with the 32b application tc1100x32_64_rc2.exe within the Fedora38 64bit VM?ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-07-20, 13:14 UTCWow, that installed 233 additional packets!sudo dnf install wine

And works with Tc32 (Totalcmd.exe) within the Fedora38 64bit VM?
Very good.
I just started to build a new Fedora VM for you. So I can stop that now?

Yes, all 32-bit applications work now.
I will try contacting the Mac user by e-mail.

Re: TC11RC1 installer doesn't work in Crossover Mac
Hi Christian!ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-07-16, 07:28 UTC I have a few questions because I don't have a Mac to test this on
1. Which version did you try, 64-bit, 32-bit, or the combined installer? Only the first of these 3 uses a 64-bit installer, the other two use 32-bit installers. On Fedora Linux 37 with Wine 8.5, only the 64-bit version works (both 10.52 and 11.00 are affected).
2. If all 3 installers fail, could you try running the 64-bit installer from a command line? It may show the reason why the launch failed.
Sorry for the late answer.
I was using a combine 32-64 bits installer and now that I think about it, I was on a 64 bits bottle in Crossover/Wine. I always done this way before, to install TC on it. I just tried the 64 bits only installer using TC 11x64 rc2 and it worked.
Thanks!
- Sylvain.

Just tried again using TC 11 rc2 32-64 combined installer and it also worked.

Re: TC11RC1 installer doesn't work in Crossover Mac
That's strange, there was no change to the installer executable between RC1 and RC2.
