In fact, adding quotes to the ini as shown by Stefan2 doesn't do anything, does it?

If you open Stefan2's command for editing via the "Choose Command" dialog (Change user command: em_notepadplus), the quotes are removed, so in that respect you are right.

If you want the quotes to appear in the "Change user command" dialog you need this in the usercmd.ini file:

this is a flaw at least and a BAG - as a maximum

No external program can be used when you are inside an archive.

No problem to edit any text file inside an archive.
Only restriction, you can't edit more than one at a time.

Yes - with F4 - but not with a program command in a button or an em_command. which KozakMak was referring to by quoting: [em_notepadplus]
