transfering big files piecewise from Windows to Linux

Post by *Jonas »

Hi,

Many of you know the splitt/combine-funktion of TC (which splitts bigg files in smaller pieces and recombines them on an other machine).
A nice feature, but you need a TC on both systems (apart from some command-line solutions)

I have an other solution for those who want to transfer splitted file-parts from Windows to Linux or vice versa. Some time ago we implemented a file-splitter in Krusader which is compatible to TC's. This means that you can splitt files on Windows using TC and combine them on Linux (BSD, Solaris, MacOS-X) using Krusader. And the other way round does also works :)
