Work with archives via user commands / buttons

Post by *Profane0360 »

Hello,

I am creating a set of user commands to allow me to work with 7zg.exe directly to create archives, add files, delete files, for all the archive types that can be created by 7z - tz, tip, tar, tar.b2z, tar.gz, tar.xz. All is great so far. My only difficulty is to open an archive (as a folder) via such a command/button, and not using a plugin. I do not know how this can be achieved. Do you have any ideas?

Thank you.

Every file type that TC doesn't support out of the box requires a plugin to be opened as an archive. In other words: if you want to open file type X as an archive you need an archive plugin (if you intend to open that file type in TC) or an external program/archiver.

Open archives as folder is a native function for most type of popular archives.
There is no plugin needed for this.
For more types, install the Total7ip plugin, and you can do the same with many more formats.
