Lister: HTML tag stripping & text as UTF-8 - is it possi
HTML tag stripping and text as UTF-8 - is it possible? I find it more and more often that text in html pages is UTF-8 encoded, but that option in Lister seems to be exclusive with UTF-8 encoding. Can something be done?
Maybe the IEview Plugin will help you? This will display HTML -Pages in Lister like they were displayed in a browser.

Well, no, that's an overkill - as the author of IE View says: "This plugin should be used only if the computer is powerful enough, otherwise delays may be pretty significant."
I only want functionality that is already in there combined. It can display UTF-8 correctly. It can strip HTML tags. Why can't it do both at the same time?

Unfortunately my html viewer isn't currently Unicode-enabled, which would be necessary to handle UTF8 encodings. It's on my to do list, but unfortunately more important additions had priority for the next release, sorry.
