How can I make quickfilter keep my previous marking / selection ?

Post by *ziyan chen »

Hi

I use quickfilter to mark ( select ) files frequently , here is an example :
  • Use quickfilter to make the panel list show all the desired items
  • Press Ctrl + Num_+ to select all the files in the panel
  • Press Esc to go back to the original view
Now I have a bunch of files marked , but then I noticed that I missed some files , and I use quickfilter again to locate these files and press Ctrl + Num_+ again ; but my previous mark disappeared .

If it can keep my last selection then quickfilter will be a better marking tools compare to Expand / Shrink selection etc , because it is faster .

And : is it possible to make the Expand / Shrink selection using Everything.exe ?

Files which are hidden lose their selection, otherwise you may have a filter active which shows one selected file, and then when you try to delete it it would delete a bunch of not displayed files - very dangerous.
Just press Ctrl+S twice to disable filtering, and search for the file you want to also select.

How? It only selects files which are already displayed, so there is no need to find anything on disk.
