Suggestion for tree view
I think it's better to give a setting to show ALL driver simultaneously for tree view, just like window explorer.
I guess the trouble is: To display all drives you have to use a virtual folder. To display treeview TC gets the info from real drive.
But if you want to select another drive insatntly you may use the option: Configuration->Options->Display: Show parent dir [..] also in root of drive.
Clicking the [..] in root will show you the 'Workplace' with all drives and networkneighbourhood etc. Thus you can choose another drive in the left panel while the right pane shows the tree view.

As I wrote: I think this is not possible because to display all drives you have to use 'virtual folder'. That implies some other restrictions, too. (you can't copy with TC to the virtual 'desktop' etc.)
