In Total Commander (TC), I have selected the option to display file extensions directly after the file name in the settings, by choosing "Directly after the file name" under the display mode for file extensions. However, the "Extension" column still appears in the "Column Headers" of TC.
I would like to disable it in the custom view, but I found that it is locked and cannot be unchecked. This results in some blank space in the area reserved for file extensions, wasting grid space. Is there any way to hide it?
If resizing it to the minimum width by dragging it seems to be a solution, but there is still a one-pixel gap. Is there a way to completely remove it?

Re: How to Hide File Extensions in Column Headers
By hiding file extensions column you would loose a possibility to sort by extension.
Nevertheless it don't waste any space because the filename automatically uses this space too.
