How to access apps data on Android.

Post by *FastPlayer1234 »

I am trying to access the data for an app on my phone.
When I go to

Code: Select all

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data
I see a list of folders that I can't seem to access. When I click on one, I get a notice that it is write protected. I click on yes, I am brought to a new screen to select the folder, but it has the wrong folder and I get an error that says "it seems like you have chosen the wrong folder."

It's no longer possible on Android 14. On older versions, you can uninstall the updates of the "Files" app to make it work again, unless you got a system update containing the new Files app.

Moved to the Android forum.
Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Hello,
it seems like I have the same issue: error message "Write protected"...
I want to copy some files in a folder in Android>data but it doesn't work.
I use a Samsung Galaxy A52s running iodéOS (Android 14) and Shizuku is running (version 13.5.4.r1049.0e53409 moe.shizuku.privileged.api)

Can you tell if there might be a chance that an upgrade (or some workaround) is or will be available for this ?

For those who want to know what the error message says:

Code: Select all

Write protected!
On Android >=13, the external
SD card is write protected.

Location: Android/data/
net.osmand.plus

You need to choose the
directory from a special
Android dialog to give Total
Commander write rights.

NO YES
