Hi,
would like to suggest an (ini) option to set date of descript.ion file to newest file in folder.
Reason is usage of Zip option Set ZIP date to newest file date.
Option for descript.ion would allow to get ZIP date set to newest "real" file instead of date of descript.ion which is almost younger.
Option: Set date of descript.ion to newest file in folder

Not a bad idea, but that would never allow recovering a lost descript.ion from a backup
as its date would never change.
as its date would never change.

Horst.Epp,
Which backup tool doesn't consider both timestamp and size? Even if the size would remain the same, just set the backup tool to always backup descript.ion files.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Re: Option: Set date of descript.ion to newest file in folder
Maybe an alternative is to set descript.ion to clock zero first (eg. 1.1.1980 00:00) and add a minute each time it is modified?
Re: Option: Set date of descript.ion to newest file in folder
To always save a certain file is not available as an option in most backup tools if you save the modified files.Hacker wrote: 2024-03-08, 10:25 UTC Horst.Epp,

The size may not be changed in many cases.
Not any problem for me, as I personally don't use descript files.
