Branch view to Quick search folders
Hi,
Is there any way to apply Branch view only to a Quick search? thus, inside "example folder" i have "folder1, folder2 and some files", i do a Quick search "Ctrl-s" typing "folder" so i only see folder1 and folder2, can i do a branch view for files inside these 2 folders? now when i do Ctrl-b i get ALL the files inside "example".
Thank you!!

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
After filtering the view (Ctrl+S) select the objects (e.g. with Num*) and then use branch view of selected files via Ctrl+Shift+B instead of the regular Ctrl+B.

Thank you very much!! only one question, how do you select with "Num*"...

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
Pressing Num* inverts the selection by default. Since nothing is selected in this case, pressing Num* selects everything. You can also use Ctrl+A as an alternative. Both of these keys or key combinations require that the quick search field is closed. If that field is still open, any input made applies to it instead of the file list.

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
Press * on the Numeric keypad - but in this case where you want to select folders it will only work if "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Operation" -> "Selection with Num +" -> "Also select directories" is enabled.how do you select with "Num*
Just mark the folders the way you usually mark folders.
About selecting with the numeric keypad:
Help wrote:NUM + Expand selection (configurable: just files or files and folders)
NUM - Shrink selection
NUM * Invert selection (also with shift, see link)
NUM / Restore selection
SHIFT+NUM + Like NUM +, but files and folders if NUM + selects just files (and vice versa)
SHIFT+NUM - Always removes the selection just from files (NUM - from files and folders)
SHIFT+NUM * Like NUM *, but files and folders if NUM * inverts selection of just files (and vice versa)
CTRL+NUM + Select all (configurable: just files or files and folders)
CTRL+SHIFT+NUM + Select all (files and folders if CTRL+NUM + selects only files)
CTRL+NUM - Deselect all (always files and folders)
CTRL+SHIFT+NUM - Deselect all (always files, no folders)
ALT+NUM + Select all files with the same extension
ALT+NUM - Remove selection from files with the same extension

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
Or press Ctrl+A to select all displayed files and folders (after using the quick filter) and then Ctrl+Shift+B.

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
Search results are already a flat list, so where would be the point to do a branch view from them?

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
I searched for folders and the intention was to do a Branch of the content from these folders...

Re: Branch view to Quick search folders
Put the cursor on any of the directories in the search results and press Ctrl+CursorLeft, Ctrl+CursorRight or Ctrl+CursorUp to transfer the directory onto the opposite side or a new tab respectively. Pressing Ctrl+Shift+CursorUp will open a new tab on the opposite side. Once the directory contents are visible you can use branch view inside them.
Admittedly this won't give you branch view of all directories at the same time.
