ghisler(Author) wrote: 2024-02-25, 10:19 UTC Yes, that's the change which caused it - TC tries to stay on the file before moving files, and copying and moving share the same function.

Please restore the previous behavior - optionally if there is not other way.

Will you restore the previous behavior - optionally?

It's only about copying, right? Will it affect the movement and the fixed bug?

could you make it optional - I have grown accustomed to the new way?

Yes, I will only restore the old behaviour of the copying function.

OK, I will add a new switch in wincmd.ini section [Configuration] named CopyStayOnFile.

Hello, this new behaviour is bugging me for quite some time, I finally discoverd that it was not something I set somewhere, but intended behaviour. Is the "CopyStayOnFile" option already available in some version I can download or we are waiting for it to release?

This should be fixed in Total Commander 11.50 beta 1, please check it!
01.03.24 Fixed: Shift+F5 no longer placed cursor on new file, remained on original (32/64)
12.04.24 Added: wincmd.ini [Configuration] CopyStayOnFile=0 Set to 1 to stay on file under cursor when creating new file with Shift+F5 instead of
jumping to the new file (32/64)

Confirmed fixed in TC 11.50b1 - and CopyStayOnFile=1 keeps the behavior from TC 11.03 :-)
