Multi-Rename Tool -> "Edit Names" opens in notepad instead of associated editor for txt files
I use "Notepad2-mod" and have it associated as txt editor. If I double click on txt file in TC or explorer, it opens in "Notepad2-mod". I have it set as "F4 Editor" in TC options. But when I use "Edit Names" in "Multi-Rename Tool" a windows's notepad is opened instead. I'm pretty sure it opened "Notepad2-mod" before, but I can't remember when this stopped working.

Editor for Multi-Rename Tool is set separately from within MRT - look here - http://gral.y0.pl/tc/mrtool.png

Thanks! I don't know why I didn't notice this before

Re: Multi-Rename Tool -> "Edit Names" opens in notepad instead of associated editor for txt files
No, I remembered why it worked before. I used this to "replace" notepad with notepad2-mod "system-wide"
But I set this up years ago and forgot about it, and when I upgraded to Windows 11, it probably was removed.
Code: Select all
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\notepad.exe]
"Debugger"="\"D:\\programy\\Notepad2\\Notepad2.exe\""
