Plugins out-of-date on ghisler.com/plugins?

Post by *jonathanpoulin »

Hi,

I found that at least the following lister plugins are out-of-date on the official page, here https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm#lister, compared to their respective version found on the https://totalcmd.net website.

Plugin name Ver. on TC official page Ver. on TOTALCMD.NET website
CudaLister 1.6.16 1.8.1.0
IclView v14.6.18 25.3.2023

Maybe this is on-purpose because they was not tested yet with the current TC version and/or in order to keep supporting older versions of TC. This is not for lister plugins, but I read this on the official page: "Content plugins (for Total Commander >=6.50)".

For now, if I found the same plugin on both source, while their version differ, I choose the one on the official page.
Thanks,
Jonathan Poulin

It's up to you where to choose the latest versions of plugins from.
From my point of view, both of the given sources are awful.
Whenever possible, for the plugins I consider important to me, I'm keeping links to the authors' dedicated pages if any.
For instance, regarding CudaLister, version 1.8.3.0 is available:
https://github.com/Alexey-T/CudaLister/releases
#278521 User License
Total Commander [always the latest version, including betas] x86/x64 on Win10 x64/Android 10/15

, I choose the one on the official page
No need to do that, if you can see that it is the same author. The author can update the version on https://totalcmd.net himself.

On https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm it is up to Ghisler to update the link, and without the author of the plugin letting Ghisler know that there is a new version released, it is not likely to be done.

Many plugins have a thread here on https://ghisler.ch/board - where new releases are often advertised - for example: viewtopic.php?t=48685
License #524 (1994)
Danish Total Commander Translator
TC 11.51 32+64bit on Win XP 32bit & Win 7, 8.1 & 10 (22H2) 64bit, 'Everything' 1.5.0.1391a
TC 3.60b4 on Android 6, 13, 14
TC Extended Menus | TC Languagebar | TC Dark Help | PHSM-Calendar
