Hello, I've been using TC for a long time on PC, and for the past few years I'm using it on mobile/tablet.
Anyway, I often connect to my PC's shared folder to copy stuff from/to, and I used to use my PC's name for connection (not IP address because I use both devices on few locations) and it worked flawlessly. But after I used ZeroTier app, for VPN connection with my other devices in remote locations, TC is acting weird.
Namely, since I use PC name, example //mypc, it seems like TC picked up the address of my PC when it was connected to ZeroTier for some reason, and now, even though I removed ZeroTier from tablet, and there shouldn't be any trace left of it and it's address, TC still tries to connect through the address from ZeroTier, even though it's not connected to that network.
In short, tablet is configured to use my PC's name to connect to it, and it tries to connect thtough a non-existing address, instead of at least using the actual address it gets from the WiFi it is currently connected to.
Is there any file that keeps these addresses so I can delete it or something? I tried clearing TC app cache and data as well as LAN plugin's cache and data, and it didn't do anything. When I click to connect to my pc, it shows message
netbios pcname > IPaddress (of a non-existing adapter)
It's maybe worth to mention that the tablet is on Android 6, so it's rather old, but it shouldn't be a problem, since it worked properly before all this.
Sorry for a lenghty post :/

Re: SMB connection on Android 6 tablet with ZeroTier, how to reset TCs settings ?
The LAN plugin uses various ways to look up a host name:
- DNS (the operating system's name server lookup)
- mDNS (broadcast a message to look for the right host)
- NetBIOS (original Windows lookup method)
- LLMNR
Android itself caches DNS responses, the DNS returns how long an address remains valid. The other responses are not cached, but the LAN plugin keeps connections cached.
According to a Google search, you can clear the DNS cache via Chrome browser via this URL:
chrome://net-internals/#dns
To clear the connections cache, open a different plugin in the same panel where you opened the LAN plugin.

Thanks for the reply, I'll keep that in mind, because this time it went away on it's own a few days after my initial post...
And the weirdest thing, that I didn't mention, is that I had this problem a year ago for the first time, and it went away at some point after removing ZT, but it happened again day before I opened this thread, and in the meantime I didn't install ZeroTier again, but it somehow showed up from who knows which depts of my tablet.
