Ok, now i understand it's a software limitation. :D
It could have been written earlier that it was done on purpose.

I'm surprised no one wrote about Ctrl+Q before me.

You still haven’t written why you need a reboot in Lister. You can leave it at F4. And use F3 and Ctrl+Q to remove it. This is what the AkelPadL.ini and AkelPadQ.ini files are made for.

I have now tested the plugin version 1.14
It still works, but stopping the plugin after F3 takes several seconds
and stopping quick view hangs the TC, it has to be killed with the task manager.
With version 1.11 this was always fast and trouble free.
So I'm back to version 1.11

Restart AkelPad was needed to reopen the file(s) without Lister, so that the "Main Menu" would be displayed, there would be no glitches with FullScreen, or to test scripts during development and not to spend a lot of time on reopening.
F4 is usually occupied by another editor or ChoiceEditor.
Ideally, a single AkelPad.ini config would work for all cases.

It shouldn't be this way. I tested with all plugins. Closes instantly.

What does my plugin have to do with all this? It is intended for viewing files, not for experimenting with scripts. Naturally, when using AkelPad as a plugin, it cannot have a Main Menu. What glitch in fullscreen are you writing about? I don't understand.
Actually, now I understand what you need.
My plugin is not intended for all your experiments.

Can you test the latest version of the plugin? Another person wrote to me about the slowstart. Your exit is slow. Everything works for me with a full set of plugins. I would like to find out the reason. What version of AkelPad do you have?

I have AkelPad x64 4.9.9
Tested version 1.16 of the plugin.
Unfortunately, it still takes more than 5 seconds to exit from F3 mode.
This version doesn't crash the TC when exit from Quick view like the previous one,
it just takes a long time while it creates a Windows error report.

1.11 also has bugs, but of course it’s better to use it until I can localize the bug. The reason is currently completely unclear and cannot be reproduced by anyone except you.

Yes, if the Author provides a link.
All my versions came from TotalCmd.net which unfortunately doesn't provide older versions.

It's easy to guess older links from the link description:

Code: Select all

https://wincmd.ru/files/9924384/wlx_TCAkelPad_1.16.7z
Just change the version number et voilà!

It's better to use the latest version. But if a person gets an error that I can’t reproduce, it’s clear that it’s better for him to use the old one. I don't keep an archive of versions. I don't have 1.11.
The problem may not be with the plugin, but with the AkelPad settings. The work of the plugin directly depends on them. Therefore, most likely you will not have any problems. And in the new version 1.11, serious improvements have been made.

I also read somewhere that this method works. You have confirmed this.
