Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
Not confirmed
If you really select files, the status bar will show the number and size of the selection.
In all other cases it shows the date and size of the file under the cursor.

Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
I'm not highlighting it, I'm only selecting it.
As long as there is a cursor, at least one file cannot be unselected.
Too hard difference in terminology between "select" and "select".

Also NOT confirmed
Statusbar is ALWAYS updated - either the filename of the file under the cursor is displayed or the selected data...
a file is either selected or NOT selected

No its not

Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
I did not write "select a file", I wrote "select item". More precisely, "click to select" (not right-click). You can't not to select anything by click. You call it a cursor, but what the cursor is? In the terms of listbox, there's no "cursor" there's a selection. A cursor is a mouse pointer or text caret. So a "file" is not selected, but the "item under cursor (not mouse's)" is. Too hard? I have warned.
More easily:
0. do steps 1 and 2 from 1st post
1. press Home to go to first file
2. select another file with mouse
3. press Home to go to first file
4. status bar is not updated

Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
I can confirm this behaviour.
P.S. To avoid confusion use term "pick" or "choose" for single file without highlighting

Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
But HOW?I can confirm this behaviour.
even the first step is wrong! By pressing the HOME button you don't move to the first file in the file panel -
you move to the first element - ".." - parent folder link. So obviously in status bar we will see the same: ".."
And so about which "not updated" behavior we are talking about?
Maybe a small video should be uploaded.
AS we usually say - "It is better to see once with your eyes than to describe it in a thousand words..."

Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
The first second step is the "Feed to Listbox" from Find Files dialog (start post).

I cannot confirm this - see video: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/feedlistboxstatus.mp4
Video made with clean ini file. The satus bar is updated fine here.

Right after "Feed to listbox" is done, the focus / cursor is on the first item, so it is not possible to click "above the item that is under focus".3. click to select item that is above/below item that is under focus

Issue confirmed.
The issue occurs when you click on an entry, then click on another entry and then return to the previous entry by using 1 key press.

Lucky you! I still can't confirmed it.
Also as I see, it not yet noted - on which bitness Total this bug is presenting.
As I saw it from video of ter - it was TCx32. And your version ...?

Tried both. Confirmed with both. Although the behavior is not consistent.AntonyD wrote: 2024-08-16, 12:09 UTC As I saw it from video of ter - it was TCx32. And your version ...?
Re: status bar is not updating when feed to listbox
As mentioned, it may be the easiest to reproduce using the Home key.
- Search files
- Feed to listbox (first entry is selected)
- Click an entry
- Press Home key (first entry is selected again and shows correct status bar)
- Repeat step 3 and 4 and the status bar is not updated correctly.
