LAN Plugin notification doesn't go away after closing Total Commander

Quick question...

A couple of days ago, the TC LAN Plugin updated to new version 3.54. Ever since then I have noticed that the plugin notification that appears when it is used, no longer disappears when TC is closed. I have to dismiss it (disconnect) manually.

This behavior differs from prior versions. I confirmed by uninstalling and then reinstalling the previous version.

Is there a particular reason for the change?

Does the LAN connection persist after TC has closed? Or is the notification being shown in error?

Was the connection closed in previous versions? Or did it persist without any indication?


If it matters, one of my devices is on Android 12, the other is on Android 13.

No, it has always been meant to be like this - the notification shows that the plugin is still connected to the internet, and you can click on the notification to return to Total Commander. If the notification disappeared, it means that some kind of power saving function killed the plugin.

Are you saying that in version 3.50 the LAN connection was still active when Total Commander was closed and the notification went away?

So, if the notification went away, you must be disconnected.

After checking the code, I must conclude that you are right - I'm calling an older function to dismiss the notification which doesn't seem to work on newer Android versions when the plugin service terminates. I will use the function I use in my other plugins.
