sftpplug doesn't connect but Filezilla does

I have an web hosting account with IONOS. Filezilla connects with SFTP out-of-the-box. But using the same settings, the sftpplug does not connect.

Why might that be?

I have also a web hosting account with IONOS. Here the TCs SFTP Plugin connects with SFTP out-of-the-box.

Do you have installed the Tcs SFTP-Plugin? You will find it (if you have installed it) _not_ via "main menue" -> "net", but via "network Neighborhood". *)

Hi - maybe there is a temporary problem at the ISP... but I'm experiencing the same (Filezilla works fine!). I have'nt connect to my webspace (Ionos) for quite a while. I just reinstalled the sftp-plugin - I'm now running the last(?) version from the 29/02/24

I'm getting promted a 530 "login incorrect"

Je nach Art Ihres Hostings unterstützt Ihr Hosting-Paket entweder FTPS oder SFTP:

Linux-basiertes Webosting und Managed Server unterstützen SFTP.
Windows-basiertes Webosting (ASP.NET Hosting) unterstützt FTPS.

That Ionos makes a difference there, is, well...
