I am having trouble connecting via the Total Commander FTP plugin, getting the error message "530 Login authentication failed". I've check the credentials. I'm running on Android 14 on Samsung S22 with UI 6.1.
How would I enable logging, and where would the logs be ?

You need to enable logging in Total Commander itself: Main menu - Configure - Create a log file. The option shows you where it will be stored.
About the login, make sure that the user name doesn't end with a space, some keyboards automatically append a space when taking a word from the list of suggestions. Also some servers need a different password for FTP than for the Web front end.

No, my answer was for Android! The configuration menu item is named "Configure" on Android, it's "Configuration"-"Options" on Windows.
The Android option "Create a log file" is near the bottom of the Android options.

Nach vielen Jahren richte ich wieder mal ein FTP-Server ein. Und wieder klappt es nicht so, wie man sich das wünscht. Da ist die Logdatei schon sehr hilfreich.
