FTP transfer problem - pls HELP!

Post by *Beldin »

lo,

I have ftp transfer problem using TC. When i'am downloading some file, transfer limits to ~130-200kb/s. i have same problem with other FTP clients(only ACEFTP works fine). so i decided to setup LAN FTP server for tests, and i'am getting same results as over internet. Its strange, because when i'am downloading files from FTP using internet explorer or Firefox, everything is just fine. I have a friend using same internet connection, and everything is fine on his computer. I like TC, so i just want to solve this problem. please HELP!
I have Windows XP SP2(fresh instal) on my machine, firewall disabled, and symantec NAV2004.

sorry for my english:)

:) Hello ! Welcome on board !

- First, you might create a FTP log-file; to do this:
Menu Configuration >> Options >> FTP >> Tick the box and fill the field "Create a log file"
- Then, please report it here; indeed, hide the personal information like IPs and so, i.e. using "xx..." or so.
sorry for my english :)
- Just adding some articles might result in a much better text… ;)

 Kind regards,
Claude

Is the speed on you network interface card set to auto?
If so you could try setting it to a fixed speed.

Maybe you can try to turn on "passive mode" in Total Commander.
