If TC has evolved, you could not see a cooperation solving your problem for versions that do not support new functionality.
Before this new solution I could understand it but now not.

After 10 year I can answer yes.
If you have problems keeping up, it's another question.

TC 9.0 was released in late 2016. So the answer back when I opened this thread was "No, it's not possible". Today it's about the wish or the need to support older TC versions. But it's also about the work required to implement such a feature and the little benefit it has calling the internal Lister (as opposed to calling the external one).
