TC sometimes won't show when clicked in taskbar tab

Hi,

I haven't found instructions on how to post here so I'm sorry if I forgot to mention something.

Sometimes, when I click on opened (running - but hidden under other windows) TC tab in Win Taskbar (not the notification area ! the main buttons on taskbar, I have TC pinned there), it doesn't do anything. I must manually start to minimize windows until i find TC, then, when I activate its window, it starts to work (clickning it in taskbar) again, for some time.

I am not sure what the conditions are, it seems random to me. It doesn't happen with other apps.


OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
OS Version: 10.0.22631 N/A Build 22631

TC 11.50b6 (was never using beta but was so frustrated with this behaviour that I tried using beta - same results)

Is there any info I can provide to help with investigation?

I noticed the same with my TC 11.03 window. Also when using Alt+Tab. It seemed like there was a huge delay until the TC window came up. I figured it was some temporary anti virus scan issue. I use the same OS as you.

I do not experience it now. Might be because of virus scanner updates or due to Windows updates. My build version at the moment is: 22631.4541

I suggest to manually check for updates and restart Windows (not shutdown, but restart). Perhaps it helps.

I am using bitdefender free edition
And I restart my computer quite often (well, that's relative i guess, current uptime is 3 days ) , this unfortunately doesn't help.

So I will try to unistall a/v temporarily, thanks for the suggestion Have a nice day

I went back to TotalCommander-Beta 11.50B7
And it works there, please fix it Thanks

I cannot reproduce that. My guess is that your virus scanner doesn't like the new exe file because it's too new, and prevents it from being launched.
