Show Deletion Time in cm_OpenRecycled Comment View

Post by *sky66 »

Although in version 11.50 beta, the cm_OpenRecycled feature added "Show original location of deleted files in comment view", but it does not display the "deletion time".

Currently, it only sorts files by their last modified time, which might sometimes be inconvenient.
For example, if I delete a file that was last modified a long time ago, it won't appear at the top of the list. If there are many deleted files, I may not be able to find it and would have to resort to Windows Recycle Bin to locate recently deleted files.

I was wondering if it might be possible to enhance the cm_OpenRecycled feature in a future version to include the deletion time in the comment view. It would also be really helpful if cm_OpenRecycled could display the comments view right away when executed and have the default sorting set to deletion time.
Thanks.

The comment view only has the columns name, extension and comment, so it couldn't be shown in comment view. There would have to be an extra field "deletion time" for a custom columns view.

Thank you for the information.
However, as mentioned on the decRecycleBinWDX plugin webpage, this plugin only "works with real folders, such as C:\$Recycle.Bin\%SID%, but not with common virtual folder from cm_OpenRecycled."
The %SID% is an encoded name, and the number of files within it is approximately double. Additionally, the encoded file names are displayed first, followed by the Original Name, Date Deleted, and Original Location.

Using cm_OpenRecycled is more convenient as it allows access the Recycle Bin and correctly shows the number of files along with the Original Name and Original Location, the only thing missing now is the Date Deleted.

In fact, content plugins cannot work with virtual folders, otherwise the author would have fixed it a long time ago.
