Let me please suggest a similar feature as we have in most web browsers:
Please add a menu entry "Open Last Tab Session" to replace the entire current tab session with the previous automatically saved tab session.
This would be of great use when TC crashes or when updating TC.
Thank you for your consideration

Re: Open Last TAB session
There is the question, when should the automatic save happen ?
Every change means a useless set of tabs to restore.
You can save your current tabs before you're updating TC, there is no automatic update.
TC crashes are seldom, at least for me.
I lose almost nothing if it happens.

Re: Open Last TAB session
I use the following commands for saved tab sessions (and in addition a number of em_commands, e.g. to open paths)
wincmd.ini - section [Configuration]
SAVETABS2L %COMMANDER_PATH%\TABs\STANDARD.tab
OPENTABSL %COMMANDER_PATH%\TABs\STANDARD.tab
With “Last” TAB session, I'm sure I would have accumulated a few unnecessary tabs too...
However, there will certainly also be cases in which such a function is helpful.

Unfortunately for me they are not.Horst.Epp wrote: 2024-12-03, 15:45 UTC TC crashes are seldom, at least for me.

The culprit is cudalister called by Ctrl-Q: an estimated 5% of different file openings crash TC - for years now, all versions of TC and all versions of cudalister too. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it.
I still like cudalister a lot especially for its syntax highlighting, that's why I am masochistically hanging on to it.

Maybe try this version: CudaLister - GitHub - 1.8.5.5 - 18.1.2025

People in the above threads complain about various reasons (other plugins or lack of memory). It's better to have a working tool in Autorun than to depend on a list of potential problems.Maybe try this version
