Menubar Font Size

Post by *2cv6 »

I'm wondering .. is there a way to increase font size of the TC menubar?

I did a non-extensive search of this forum and TC help files but didn't find anything. Sorry if there's an easy answer to this that I overlooked.

Thanks for any assistance.

The menu's font size is the same as in other Win32 programs, i.e. its size is defined by Windows. Not sure if it can be changed by normal means in Windows 10 and newer; MS removed the color settings so it's possible that the font settings are removed as well.

In Microsoft Windows 2022 the menu font is here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics ! MenuFont

The first dword is a negative number. The more negative it is, the bigger the font. Here I changed it from F4 to E4 (-12 to -28).

Basically some of the previous color values still work, while some have no equivalents in the registry and they come from the Aero theme. I had a dig there because I was annoyed by the sad white-washed hospital appearance. Now I have a mixture of normal Windows 2000 and white.
