Total Commander 11.03, fresh install, same problem occurs with older version (10...something).
Short description of problem:
- have 2 folders: folder ONE with files / folders, folder TWO empty (doesn't matter, for simplicity)
- inside folder ONE perform a file search, let's say all zip *.zp, doesn't matter which specific search
- feed to listbox
- move one / multiple files to folder TWO
- the search results are now updated, so folder TWO is mixed with folder ONE
- if I want to delete every file/folder from folder ONE, it will also delete files from folder TWO
Long description with screenshots:
- folder ONE: 6666666, has some files, sub-folder with files
Folder 2 is empty: 888888888888888

- search for *.zip > feed to listbox. As expected, 2 results, all OK so far.

- now, move a file (F6) to folder TWO. The search result is updated.
Instead of original c:\6666666\DaVinci1.0.26.zip, it now shows c:\888888888888888\DaVinci1.0.26.zip

I think the list should not be updated.
I think all operations performed on the left pane, under search results listbox, should be constrained to original searched folder.
- before finding this behaviour, it happened twice to me. I performed all above operations, plus one final operation: select all from left pane > delete.
And then I wondered where are the files from folder TWO. Of course, I never noticed the updated folder.

The left pane is, up until the end, in "search result listbox mode", it hase "Search results" at top left.
So, is this a bug or a feature?
Search > feed to listbox > move > delete > BUG or FEATURE?

Re: Search > feed to listbox > move > delete > BUG or FEATURE?
I prefer to update search results whenever I can, e.g.
- remove deleted files from the results
- change the path of moved files in the results
because otherwise the files will become inaccessible.
It would be odd to distinguish between renaming in place and moving.

I agree with the author - this is a completely understandable and practical, and straightforward decision, and the only one that could be made in these conditions. Results should be auto-updatable.

Re: Search > feed to listbox > move > delete > BUG or FEATURE?
If it wasn't obvious from my message - I do NOT like this.
Case in point: I download multiple versions of "videos"
So, I go to download folder, search for a common keyword and get a list with main files + others (subtitles, .nfo, covers .....) , move 2-3 to a different folder, then I just want to delete the rest, I don't need them.
So, select all (in the search pane), delete.
But, bam, my main files are also gone.
Now I now and I never do that, but it happened 2-3 times before I understood it and I was quite puzzled by it.
