Hi All,
New to the Total Commander software and still learning new operations and shortcuts everyday as I am cleaning up several old HDD and re-organizing stuff.
I have a quick and hopefully easy question which will really help me in my project. Hopefully someone knows how to do this: I have 2 identical folders in 2 different locations. Let's say:
1st locations: folder.name A with file.name 1.txt
2nd location: folder.name A with file.name 1.txt
By all intents and purposes they are duplicate. Doesn't matter if the content and size and whatever are the same, I will asses this later.
I would like to copy them in the same place without merging both folders in 1 folder.
I will move the folder from the 2nd location on top of the folder from the 1st location and select auto-rename copied files. I will then have:
2nd location: gone
1st location: folder A with file.name 1.txt and file.name 1.txt (2). Basically merged in 1 folder with both files.
What I am trying to do is not to merge them and have the following result where the auto rename is done on folder level and not on file level:
2nd location: gone
1st location: folder.name A with file.name 1.txt and folder.name A (2) with file.name 1.txt
Any chance that's possible and I just don't know how?
Thanks for your support

No, this is unfortunately not supported.
