Column Width

Post by *Alonzo Mosley »

I'm sure this is an easy fix, I can't for the life of me find it.

No matter how I adjust the width of the columns in the main screen, all I see is the file. Because the file path is so long, it "bleeds" into the "SIZE," "DATE," etc. columns.

Is there a way to make it that wherever the column ends, it stops showing info? Like in Explorer? There isn't even a scroll right<->left bar that I can see.

Does that make sense?Image: https://ibb.co/CKcCxXt
Dan: You're gonna need to get someone to fix my computer.
Kim: What's wrong with it?
Dan: It's in several pieces on my floor.

Try custom columns mode. This is the only way to fix this problem, for the time being.

The default full view is one of the weirdest designs of TC, I have no idea why it is not merged with the custom columns mode in the form of a Default Full View, as is the case in Double Commander.

It is intentional that the search results are shown as full path (by default), and showing a full path is only possible when leaving all other information out. Create and use a custom columns view when you want to see the information you need.

When showing a search result, the list shows the full path and the details are shown in the footer. There the column widths from the header will be used.
