test.zip.7z

Post by *Hurdet »

When I open a test.zip, select all file file * and pack with 7z, I get a file test.zip.7z.
I then have to rename it to test.7z.
Do it is possibile to get directly test.7z ?

I assume that works on the idea of opening archives as folders. If you open a folder and compress it, the archive name will be foldername.7z. In this case, the folder name is foldername.zip, and hence the archive name is foldername.zip.7z. I believe this is the logic of this operation.

You mean that TC suggests that name and you accept it? Or do you use an automatic method?
