Ctrl + j

Post by *Kaisler »

Hello
When the cursor is standing on a file and i am pressing CTRL+J
the file name pushed to the command line .

Is there is an internal command to do the same thing ?

No there isn't, sorry. Maybe you can use one of the cm_Copy functions to copy the name to the clipboard.

Ctrl+J is nowhere to be found neither in the <history.txt>, nor in the <keyboard.txt>, nor in the official Help !
- We had added it in our English Tuto, though… We'll do for the French Tuto too a.s.a.p. (forgotten).

:) Hello !

• That (officially undocumented) short cut works, of course…
- Personally, I Drag&Drop the name on the command-line, that works same… ;)

1. Ctrl+Enter has the same effect as Ctrl+J;
2. These two shortcuts are definitely taken from Norton Commander.

@the tutorial junkies:
Ctrl+Shift+J works too, alternative for Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

Thanks, I was looking for a way to insert filename with full path.
Was this also a Norton Commander shortcut already?

No, Norton only inserted the file name both with and without Shift pressed together with Ctrl+Enter or Ctrl+J
