Changing folder icon via Internal Associations

Post by *mrbeeye »

Does it work correctly (permanently)?

If define it as suggested viewtopic.php?p=460756#p460756, I have to click anywhere inside TC panels to get icons changed (and only in that panel where I clicked), i.e. after TC startup, icons are not changed at all.

I use StartAllBack 3.8.13 which might interfere.

NOT confirmed. Please send me your wincmd.ini to support at ghisler dot com, maybe other options are interfering.

Unfortunately mrbeeye never replied, and I can't reproduce the problem.
Can anyone else reproduce this? If yes, how?

Icons should be changed to “lock”.
Text should in lime color

Folder icons are not changed for Downloads, Pictures, Screenshots at all.
I have these folders moved from C:\ to D:\ and also renamed.
Colorizing rules are working for these folders but icons are not changed.

When I was trying to make screencast of the problem I found out that I can click outside of TC to get icons changed (though in left panel only).

Are you sure that you don't have a Desktop.ini file in the 3 folders [dl], [docs] and [pics] in your screenshot?

Icons set in Desktop.ini with the IconFile= parameter overrides icons set via internal associations.

Indeed I have, it is by default. Those directories are just redirected and renamed.

My bad, I thought Internal associations override all.

Thanks, I found your mail! Folder icons do work, but icons defined via Desktop.ini take precedence over user-defined icons.
