If press Ctrl+Q (Quick View) on large BMP files (ShrinkBitmap=2) or on another files that takes a long time to load in Quick View, than press Shift+F6 (rename) and press Down/Up for rename other file, then the quick view will be loaded first, and then the focus on the file name will be activated for renaming. But if you do not wait for this activation and start typing a new file name, the renaming mode will be disabled. And the action will be different (depending on the settings, for me this turn on the quick filter).
Is it possible to make sure that when quickly scrolling (Up/Down) through such large files in renaming mode, the focus on the file name would first be activated, and then the quick view would be loaded?

Re: Rename with Quick View
Thanks for your report. First, I don't consider this a bug, so I will move this thread to the suggestions forum.

Second, I have tried to implement this, but unfortunately it doesn't work even if I open the new rename box before updating the quick view panel. Why? Some Lister plugins set the focus to themselves when activated. Therefore Total Commander opens the new rename edit box after loading the new preview, and then sets the focus to it. When I reverse the order, the focus first goes to the rename edit box, and then jumps to the plugin, which closes the rename box. Although I can temporarily prevent the closing of the rename edit box, the characters you type would still go to the Lister plugin, therefore not fixing the problem you describe.Author of Total Commander
