Users and Gebruikers

Post by *rinder1945 »

Dear Sir,

Can you tell me ,why in the dutch Version in the C directory , not is the name "USERS" (it is only in Total Commander)
and in the dutch version of windows 10 you only can see "Gebruikers".
Not both the names in the Dutch version. (Only "Gebruikers")

Maybe you have a solution

"Users" is a real file system name, while "Gebruikers" is a localized folder name - Windows feature, so e.g if you rename or move "desktop.ini" file from this directory to another location "Gebruikers" folder became "Users" also on Windows Explorer.

Total Commander always show the real names as stored in the file system, not the Explorer's fake labels. When you click behind the path in Explorer it will also show the real name.

And it is shown on the security tab of the Properties.
