At the top of the left and right panes I can see the full path to the current folder.
I have the path: D:\AAA\BBB\CCC\DDD\
So I'm currently in the DDD folder.
Now if I click on CCC, I will be moved to the CCC folder and the DDD folder will be preselected.
But if I click on D or AAA or BBB, I will be moved to the selected folder. But there will be preselected first folder in the panel or [...] - not the folder I came from.
I would suggest preselecting the folder where I am coming from everytime.

Re: click on the folder in full path at the top of the panel
That is actually only the case if "Options" -> "Layout" -> "Auto-open when moving mouse over it" is NOT enabled. Now if I click on CCC, I will be moved to the CCC folder and the DDD folder will be preselected.
But Support++ for your suggestion - and that it will also work when "Auto-open when moving mouse over it" is enabled - maby as being optional with a wincmd.ini parameter.
This is more a missing feature, than a bug...

Re: click on the folder in full path at the top of the panel
Interestingly, preselection of the previously opened folder also happens when using the "\" and ".." buttons. And also when executing "cd .." on TC's command line. But not when executing a cd command in TC in any other way, and not any other cd command, like "cd \" or "cd ..\..".
Re: click on the folder in full path at the top of the panel
Preselection of the previously opened folder also happens when using Backspace, Ctrl+PgUp or Alt+Arrow-Left - the latter even goes to the previously selected file.

Re: click on the folder in full path at the top of the panel
This isn't a bug, it's just supported only for the immediate parent.

Re: click on the folder in full path at the top of the panel
I suppose, there is no special reason to support only immediate parent.
But if I click on a folder in the path, I would expect same behaviour for all folders so I would consider this more as a bug.
