[proposition] Open new tab on double click

Post by *Rafal »

I would like to be able to open new tab by double clicking in the empty area near the current tab.

It works like this in Opera, and as I love Opera I feel a little lost without this possibility :)

And btw, I know it's bad to talk about leaked beta but I would like to tell that some of the new features (mode-z, thumbs) made me to register TC after a looong time of using it unregistered. Thanks for this.

Thanks for your suggestion, I didn't know this feature, although Firefox seems to have it too! I will check how easy this would be to add.

that would be a great feature! I use it in Firefox all the time (like doubleclicking a tab to close)

This is a nice idea (I actually was not aware that FF dows it), but using middle mouse click as in FF to open dir in new tab is more useful.

Didn't make it's way to 6.50 unfortunetly, but I hope it's still on Christian's wishlist :)

I'm sure it is. But if you look at his post (Jan 06) it was too late for v6.50.

Indeed it was too late, sorry. But it's definitely planned for one of the next versions, not just on my wish list.
