Do you have any fields checked in Configuration -> Thumbnails -> Loading Thumbnails ?

I've noticed that if I check only the first one (Get from Lister plugins for: *.*) it shows only some pictures. Most not :-( Does anyone now why?

If I check "Use Explorer method (OLE2) for:" *.* or "Get from Irfan/Xnview for:" *.* - it shows every picture.

Probably it doesn't work with "Get from Lister plugins for: *.*" because the lister plugins you have for those picture types don't support the thumbnail view.
I hope Imagine will be updated soon.

The reason could be the following:
You used Explorer method to extract thumbnail first. All images were loading had been time consuming were saved to the thumbnail database. Then you switched to Lister method were no proper plugins are installed. The thumbs from cache are displayed. For the images which were not saved to database nothing is shown.

Not exactly. I have e.g. 50 .jpg photos (all are in the same format, just taken) and it shows me only some of them.

Probably you are right.
To be honest I have no problem I just only wanted to test how TC behaves in different configurations.

Can I fully clear the cache in any way to check what I see if there is nothing in the cache?

You may clear the thumbnail cache location field to disable the thumbnail cache.

To delete just the existing thumbnail database delete the directory were your database is located.

I recommend deleting only the database files (tcthumbs.db, tcthumbs.idb) instead of the whole directory...

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

:) Hello Christian !

 Mine is set in the TC-dir, so I have to delete the whole TC-dir ??? :P
I guess you mean "Remove the line in the setting"… ?

:) Hello !
- You might try to use ONE method for the thumb-nails extracting…
- For instance, try only the Explorer method, then the nn…View method (if you have XnView or IrfanView installed),
and so on…
 Kind regards,
Claude

Thanks. It was probably as you've described above. Now, everything seems to work ok. :-)

Unfortunately I'm not able to check it under WinNT, now. Maybe somebody else will confirm it.

For instance, try only the Explorer method, then the nn…View method (if you have XnView or IrfanView installed), and so on…
"Get from Lister plugins for:" - not work.
"Use Explorer method (OLE2) for:" - not work.
"Get from Irfan-/Xnview for:" - work only for *.bmp files. (Xnview is installed)
"Plain Text file thumbnails for:" - work fine.

Please fix this bug...
