Back button

Post by *raytc »

Hello to all,

May'be a new idea?

A back button in TC.
If you change your directory in a window and you want to go back where you came from it would be nice to do this with the help of a "back button".

Would not be bad as well to have an unclose possibility for taps.
If you close a tap there is no possibility to reload him again.

ps: great work TC 6.5!

1. You mean cm_GotoPreviousDir?

2. It is nonsense. That would mean a directory I cannot enter.

Yes, just record your last 10 directories you've visited and use
it as in other software applications with CTRL-Z (undo).

Why aren't you enable to enter a directory?

Isn't a Back button on the default toolbar that you get when you install TC?

If not, you can make one using the command Xyzzy mentioned.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Great!

I didn't know of these default back/forward buttons.
In the beginning I made a new toolbar and it seems that I've cancelled too many buttons.

BTW Thank you.

Frankly, I am not 100% sure what you are trying to say. Please explain further.

If you close a tab in TC there's no way to undo this.
It would be nice to have something like a firefox extension: undoclosetab.

But the history is still present, press Alt+Down. Otherwise, if you lock a tab, it asks for confirmation on close.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Alt-left and Alt-right is back and forward

Post by *edelcom »

The Alt-Left key can be used to go back, the Alt-right key to go forward again.
I use it all the same. Don't need a toolbar button for this.
