[REQ] Busy animation

Post by *Maxwish »

Request:
a 'busy animation' (like in iexplorer) that indicates TC is working on something that might not be clear to the user.

Why:
Actions in the background (ftp, packing etc) are easy to spot because they have their own small window.
BUT during certain other actions it is not clear if TC is already finished.
for example: using certain content plugins during a custom view in big directories, it takes some time before all the details have been scanned and presented in the panel. If would be nice if one could see that the action is finished for the complete dir by looking at the status of animated icon.

Suggestion:
Animating the floppy icon in the TC window title bar.

I'll second that. Here is another example - if you accidentally hit the space bar on a *large* directory and are not aware of it, TC will seem to stop responding.

Have you tried that using my DirSizeCalc plugin and an "on demand" field? :-)
