I use Total Commander (TC) V.6.5 under WinXP-SP2 OS. I often use TC to update our website or to download acess_log file or other files from other ftp sites. I did not have any problem since I used TC for the past zillion years. I now have a connection problem since this Monday. When I make an ftp conneciton, it stops at "200 list --- Directory".
On the other hand, if I place a check mark in "Use Passive Mode for Transfer" the connection becomes successful and I can make a file transfer.
Could someone suggest me how to fix problems? I ruled out the problem by firewall because I did not any problem after installing SP2. I checked all possibly virus infection. But the computer appears in essence soyware/virus-free. Regards, James

Well, don't rule out the firewall, since some firewalls block "changed" software, and totalcmd.exe is changed after an update to 6.50.
You could also try disabling MODE Z support in Configuration - Options - FTP.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Hacker,
I will try your suggestion. I have two computers: home and office. Both have the almost identical configuation except for antivirus program: office computer with NAV and home comptuer with kav5.0.227_personal program (Kaspersky). My office computer (DSL) has no problem with TC for ftping.
My home computer is the one I am having problem. As mentioned before, I did not have any problem in the past. I noticed a serious virus infection on my home computer. After cleaning, NAV was uninstalled from my home computer and KAV was installed (by friend's advise) about two weeks ago. I am wondering whether KAV is messing with ftyping or not. What do think?
