Setting lister as default system player for mp3's

Post by *johnstonf »

re:Setting lister as default system player for mp3's

Is there a way to set the system default for playing
mp3's to TC's "lister"? This would be very handy,
so that when in explorer, if I "open" or double
click a .mp3 file, it brings up the lister, and plays
the mp3 file (much faster than loading MusicMatch
or another mp3 player)... or any other suggestions
on this one?

Thanks!... Fred

What is that ?

You can not assign this to TC internal lister, but you can do it with the standalone one !

Just choose it in the "open with" in the context menu

Note: to make the external lister works with your plugin, you must have:
- a file named wincmd.ini containing all "lister" sections in your %windir% folder
- all plugin path need to be quoted without System variable (for example : "C:\Program Files\Totalcmd\MyPlugin" and not %Commander_Path%\MyPlugin)

I recommend foobar2000 ( www.foobar2000.org ) instead of lister. :)

There‘re some UI plugins with vollume slider. I prefer using shortcuts, numeric "+" and "-" are default, and you can redefine them.
