Icon Library

Post by *Energy »

Hi!

I have just downloaded an Icon Library from the Internet. When I use this on Total Commander my icons are totally messed up. For example... A Folder Icon turns into an arrow, MP3 icons turns into books. And in the icons library are normal folder and music icons but Total Commander change everything in the library. When I don't use a library all the icons are normal. How is this possible?

Thans!

Maybe the author put the icons at the wrong place? Why don't you post the link?

It's nearly impossible to answer question like "My car doesn't work, what's wrong?"

Ok...

See the picture: http://members.home.nl/jeroenws/tc.jpg
You see... Total commander displays the folder icons right with no icon library, but with icon library it's messed up. I tried more libraries but none work correctly.

How can I put the icons in the right order? [/img]

I have understood your problem but I need the link to the library to check it out.

In Configuration -> Font -> Symbol size what happens if you increase the default value
of 16x16 to say 20x20? Do you get the correct icons?

Of course this is not the solution but I want to check something.

The Same order...

:) Hello !
- Jeff <icfu> is right ! One can't test without the file…
- However, it seems that the ICL you tried doesn't conform the right icon-order allowing it to be used in TC…
I mean that each icon of that ICL must be at the same location than, for instance, in the official alternative ICL <Wcicolib.icl>.
- If it contains some extra-icons for various other purposes than the file lists and the TC-interface, such icons must be placed at the end of the file.
:P Curious to watch that chef-d'œuvre… :P
:( EDIT : apparently, the access to the directory of your link is not allowed… I can't get the file; besides, I don't understand the language of this site, sorry.

 Kind regards,
Claude

- Following this - the Panos <pdavit>'s idea added-, I can say: " not the correct positions and sizes in the ICL!"

What about the link?

As we guessed this is not(!) an ICL-File for TotalCommander...
TC-ICL-Files look something like i.e. http://sirsilva.com/files/tc_icons.zip...
Hoecker sie sind raus!

The best thing to do is use an ICL editor to replace the icons in my sample ICL with the icons you need - then the order should be correct.
